Valuable material properties for your products
On account of very high heating and cooling rates and the greatly increased thermal transitions of the particle due to the hot gas, our technology can specifically influence the particle properties. Achievable particle sizes range from sub-micro to micrometre range.
The specific surface is influenced by the treatment temperature and corresponding dwell time in the pulsation reactor. This depends upon the plant geometry, for example the length of the resonance tube.
Activity and selectivity
By means of the special manufacturing process, materials can be produced with especially small crystallites within a narrow size range. This is decisive for the activity and selectivity of catalysts since increased activity significantly reduces the catalyst’s “working temperature”, thus reducing costs.
The smallest homogeneous structures can be produced in crystalline materials using our pulsation reactor - and thereby entirely new types of products can be manufactured. Such bespoke catalytic materials are used as high performance catalysts due to their special morphology.
The pulsating hot gas stream forms a nearly constant temperature across the direction of flow within the reaction chamber. Together with the stable and safe operation of pulsation reactors the even thermal treatment of all materials can be guaranteed. Thus products are created with unique homogenous material properties, for example particle size, specific surface or the phase composition.
The combination of elements in variable concentration in a solution supplies an ideal element spread. Ideally the solution is sprayed into the reactor in very fine droplets with the same distribution of elements. The droplets are then constituted as particles in the form of oxides, dosed oxides and mixed oxides.
