On November 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., IBU-tec opens its doors. During the Night of Science, IBU-tec will focus on questions that shape our everyday lives and are crucial to the future of our society. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of chemistry and thermal process engineering and gain exciting insights into research, development, and innovative technologies.
Experience technology and get hands on
At IBU-tec, there’s plenty for children and adults alike to discover. Exciting experiments in the lab invite you to get involved. Through a quiz, visitors will learn in a fun way how rotary kilns and pulsating reactors work—and where the materials produced by them are used in our daily lives. Among other things, we’ll show:
- How are catalysts for gasoline and diesel cars manufactured?
- How are battery materials for electric cars manufactured?
- How are real-time analyses conducted in the lab?
- What happens inside a pulsation reactor and a rotary kiln?
Stop by, give it a try, and discover how innovative materials are created!
We invite all curious night owls to discover and experience science and technology for themselves. Get a firsthand look at what IBU-tec is currently researching and working on, how innovative materials are created, and the diverse jobs and career paths the company offers. Come by, discover something new, and experience hands-on science!
