Weimar, 22 September 2020 - IBU-tec advanced materials AG ("IBU-tec", ISIN: DE000A0XYHT5) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary BNT Chemicals is now able to supply all of its products again after the fire in one of its production areas on the 29/12/2019. The national and international customers can now obtain the products DBTO, DBTL, DBTA, DOTO and DOTL in desired quantities from the IBU-tec Group. These tin catalysts are used in numerous industrial production processes and represent a major revenue driver for BNT Chemicals.

The reconstruction of the affected areas at BNT Chemicals has not yet been fully completed, as IBU-tec is consistently adapting its production facilities, capacities and product range to current market requirements, as part of its strategic alignment. This is accompanied by even more efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly processes at BNT. After the noticeable consequences of the fire, BNT Chemicals is now on a clearly visible recovery course.

Ulrich Weitz, CEO of IBU-tec: "We have used the break caused by the fire and Covid-19 at BNT as an opportunity. In response to the high demand from the pharmaceutical and glass coating industries, we will also be adding further specialty catalysts to our product portfolio in the future and are expanding our service portfolio in wet chemistry. This will make BNT Chemicals stronger than ever before."
